Color Blocked Spring Pieces

Color blocking is back for the Spring season. The color block trend is seen in more vertical panels, as well as, multicolored pieces this spring. To achieve a more conservative look, try a color block piece with brights and neutrals paired together, like this DVF bag in tan, fluorescent pink, and black. If you’re more of a bold and colorful spirit, choose pieces with two bright distinct colors or even multiple colors in one piece.

Fabulous Fall Trends

I love this fall season because of all of the stylish, fun trends. One of the most popular trends for clothing AND accesories is definitely leopard print! It is such a classic print that can be so chic on the right fabrics and silhouettes- I always say, with animal prints “a little bit goes a long way”…one animal printed piece in your outfit is just enough. The glitter trend is the most fun trend for fall! Glittery things are usually just for holiday, but this season, glitter is everywhere! Glitter shoes are my favorite pieces, they can make any outfit shine a little brighter. The bow tie blouse is a trend that has been carried on from spring and is so sleek and stylish. It looks great in the popular bordeaux red color. The hiking boot inspired shoes are a fun way to take a rugged look and make it stylish. You can find this trend in booties, wedges, stilettos, and more! Finally, fur is always a must-have in the colder months. A fur vest is great way to get the look, stay warm, and look extremely stylish. You can apply any of these trends to any outfit for a super stylish look this fall.

Cozy Up This Fall

Cozy up with this fall’s warmest and trendiest knitwear. Loose fitting and over-sized silhouettes are being seen everywhere. I love the look and feel of an over-sized, comfy sweater when the weather’s cooling down. I also love the ‘poncho’ styled sweaters, like this cute loose-knit Free People sweater. Try a sweater with cut-outs for an edgy look or fun, big collars for a cozy feel.

Men’s Fall Essentials

Fall is slowly but surely approaching. Here are some must-have picks for men’s fall wardrobes. I feel a light weight military jacket is a great investment piece. You can wear it throughout cool summer nights, chilly fall weather and again in the spring time. A fitted trench is a classic piece that will never go out of style and can be worn all year-round, wear it with some edgy tees or tops to make it your own. This hoodie/blazer in one is a unique take on a classic blazer with the layered hoodie underneath. I think it gives it a more casual and edgier feel. A cardigan can dress up any basic tee and is easy to thrown on for dinner or running around, plus the contrasting trim looks awesome. Lace-up boots are being seen more and more these days on guys. These burnt tan colored boots look great and have nice detailing on the sides. They will be your essential boot to take you from fall into winter and back into spring again. I also feel that a vintage-style sweatshirt is a great alternative to a plain hoodie and appears more put-together. Use this as a style-guide for your fall wardrobe and you’ll be sure to look stylish and feel good.

Transition into Fall

Sometimes it is difficult to find the right pieces to wear when the weather is changing from summer into fall. It can be warm and cool in one day, so here are some light pieces that will take you through the end of the summer, right into fall. A sheer cashmere sweater, that can be layered or worn as is. A light colored, silk blouse perfect for casual wear or work wear. A light and flowy fall colored dress that can be worn on its own or with leggings and boots when the cold weather comes. These peep-toe, cut out, lace up booties are a must-have. They can even be worn longer into the winter months with tights. Loose cropped trousers are a great item to wear at the end of summer when you are craving that fall fashion. These can be worn with tights when it get’s colder out. Last but not least, 2011 fall/winter is all about fur, and this fur infinity scarf is such a great piece. Although you may not wear it until the end of fall/winter months, it is a great piece to dress up and coat if you want the feel and look of fur.
